Welcome to Festiva Adventure Club!

Welcome to Festiva Adventure Club, a family of boutique interval ownership resorts located in some of the most sought after destinations in the United States and Caribbean. Since its formation in 2000, Festiva Adventure Club has become one of the most successful privately held vacation ownership companies in the country. In an industry where large, publicly held corporations have recently begun to dominate, Festiva has carved out a niche in a number of prime vacation markets. Festiva Adventure Club began with one resort and 500 members and has now grown to 24 resorts, four Cruise Club destinations and the Festiva Adventure Club with nearly 55,000 members overall.

When it comes to vacations, many of us share a wide range of time-honored traditions. Celebrations such as fireworks on the 4th of July, family reunions and romantic anniversary getaways go hand-in-hand with desirable destinations. With Festiva Adventure Club you have the ability to vacation year after year to extraordinary locations around the world, from the exotic Caribbean to the Deep South to the Ozark Mountains. So set aside some time for a fun-filled family gathering, a getaway with close friends or an intimate journey for two. However you spend your time away from your normal routine, you will always have great times to remember at Festiva Adventure Club.

February 2011 News

For the past several years Stormy Point Village in Branson, MO, has been occupied by two developer entities that have essentially shared the management and operations of the property; Festiva Hospitality Group and Branson-based Summer Winds Resorts. After months of discussion, Festiva has made a business decision that we believe will provide long-term benefits for both the resort and its owners. As of Tuesday, February 15, Festiva has sold the assets that we controlled at Stormy Point Village to Summer Winds Resorts. Additionally, the Stormy Point Village Association is now controlled and managed by Summer Winds Resorts.

This does not have a major impact on the overall structure or operations of Festiva, and Stormy Point Village will continue to be a part of the network of resorts available to Festiva Adventure Club members.

However, there will be some changes that affect deeded owners at Stormy Point Village. We have sent all Stormy Point Village owners a an e-mail and a letter with full details of these changes and how they are affected immediately and in the long term.

Stormy Point owners or guests with any questions or comments about the resort prior to, during or after your stay should contact Summer Winds Resorts Customer Service toll-free at 855-201-8308 or 800-699-3250 or by e-mail at mysummerwinds@summerwindsresorts.com.

A press release yesterday from the American Resort Development Association (ARDA) highlights the resiliency of the timeshare and vacation ownership industry even in a tough economy.

“Although overall sales continue to reflect the national trend of lower consumer spending, timeshare owners continue to enjoy their pre-paid timeshare vacations, with an 80 percent occupancy rate and an 86 percent product approval rate. This compares with a 60.4 percent hotel occupancy rate, according to Smith Travel Research.”

Families who vacation at timeshare resorts can also save hundreds of dollars or more per week by buying groceries and preparing most of their meals in their unit, taking advantage of discounts to area attractions offered at the front desk, and using the amenities and activities provided right on the property, for little to no cost.

May/June 2009 Festiva Adventure Club Member News

We are aware that several members of the Equivest Vacation & Travel Club (EVTC) have questions and concerns about the 2007 acquisition of the Club by Festiva Adventure Club, as well as the current state and the future outlook of the Club. We do want to engage members and we have a goal of providing better communication to Equivest members.

As mentioned in our 2007 Annual Report, we agreed with the previous owner’s efforts to retire the Equivest name. As the Peppertree name has been used in the past and is connected to several of the affiliated resorts, going forward, the name Peppertree Vacation and Travel Club (PVTC) will be used.

As a result of a meeting between one concerned Peppertree Club member and Festiva Adventure Club’ President and Vice President of Member Services, an advisory committee of three Club members has been formed. The first meeting of the committee took place May 6, 2009, and open discussions of global issues confronting the membership of PVTC took place so that we could explore plausible solutions.

This committee is not formed by, funded by, managed by, or in any other way affiliated with Festiva Adventure Club, but is a volunteer organization of concerned PVTC members working to protect the interests of all members as well as the value of the Peppertree Vacation & Travel Club. It is an autonomous group and not a legal entity, and committee members are free to express any and all issues.

The committee as a group has agreed not to deal with individual nuances or events. Instead the focus will be on acquiring information and understanding for the group as a whole. The advisory committee solicits input from members of the PVTC community but requests that your input represents issues that seem to be common among multiple members, and are not individual grievances.

We are already seeing positive results from the first meeting of the advisory committee. Please visit the new section of our website specifically for PVTC members. In the meantime if you have any questions, please visit the Q & A page of the Festiva Adventure Club Blog.

An e-mail with contact information for advisory committee members was recently sent to all members of the Peppertree Vacation & Travel Club. If you are a member of the PVTC and did not receive this e-mail, then we may not have your current contact information on file. Please write to us at myemail@festiva.travel with the subject line Peppertree Member and include your full name, e-mail address and any other contact information that may need updating.

This year, instead of printing and mailing the annual report, we have posted the full report in the Owners' section of our website for your viewing. A valid e-mail address is required to access the online version of the annual report.
