The Festiva Hospitality Group Charitable Fund is a flexible endowment fund that began in 2006 as a way for Festiva Hospitality Group to contribute to any cause that benefits the local communities where employees live and work and to contribute to disaster relief for events of great global impact. The focus is to promote education among youth and eliminate poverty in local communities. The Community Foundation of Western North Carolina, a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting and expanding philanthropy, manages the fund.

Charitable Fund Events:

Festiva Hospitality Group Corporate Office Holiday Auction:

In December, employees in the corporate office held an auction and raised over $12,000 that was donated to the Salvation Army and the Asheville Buncombe Community Christian Ministry to buy Christmas gifts for families in the Asheville area. The company matched the $12,000 employees raised and put that amount into the Charitable Fund.

Charitable Fund Golf Tournament:

On Tuesday, May 8th, 2007, Festiva Hospitality Group held its first Charitable Fund Golf Tournament at the Wachesaw Plantation East golf course in Murrells Inlet, S.C. The tournament was a huge success and over $40,000 was raised to put directly into the Festiva Hospitality Group Charitable Fund. To read the full press release on the golf tournament, click here.

Employee Donations:

All Festiva Hospitality Group employees have the option to contribute a portion of their paycheck to the Charitable Fund.
